Datura was founded by a data scientist and engineer with a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Carnegie Mellon — trained in machine learning, neural networks, and advanced modeling. She took a job at a college in her local community, expecting modern tools and data workflows. Instead most reporting was still done by hand: brittle spreadsheets, undocumented processes, and small teams of talented people white-knuckling submissions year after year. Datura closes that gap, bringing the work into the modern era so more time and energy can be spent serving the students.
